Garlic – It’s Good for You... But There’s a Downside! 🧄😂
Last week, I read an article about how incredible garlic can be for your health:
✅ Boosts the immune system & fights infections 🦠
✅ May help reduce the risk of chronic diseases like cancer & heart disease ❤️
✅ Aids digestion & reduces gut inflammation 🏃♂️
✅ Could help regulate blood sugar & support weight loss ⚖️
Sounds amazing, right? So, naturally, I went to my fridge and helped myself to a few spoonfuls of garlic soaked in oil—like it was a casual snack. No big deal. 🥄🧄
I brushed my teeth and carried on with my day… but garlic stays with you longer than a few seconds. And when you eat as much as I did, let’s just say my family wanted nothing to do with me for the next 36 hours. 😷🚫 Nothing got rid of the taste or smell. Lesson learned!
Now that my breath (and personal space) is back to normal, I can reflect—and even bring this back to exercise!
➡️ Moderation is key. Just like too much garlic can have unintended side effects, over-exercising can harm your body. 💥
➡️ Consider others. If your workout routine is interfering with family time (like dinner!), it might not be the right moment. ⏳
➡️ Think long-term. The benefits of an action shouldn’t be outweighed by the negatives. Like lifting with poor form—you might see gains now, but you’re setting yourself up for trouble later. ⚠️
Keep striving for health, but don’t forget balance—in fitness, in food, and in life. 💪✨
Many blessings,
Moshe
