Microwave or Stove... and Exercise (of course)

Microwave or Stove... and Exercise (of course)

After fasting for about 27 plus hours for Yom Kippur it was time to break my fast (not including the wine for Havdalah and 2 glasses of water after that)... my wonderful wife went to go heat up an amazing shoulder steak, vegetables and a roll... she wanted to heat it up in the microwave so I could eat sooner and I preferred it to be heated in the oven...

As a side note, I remember when my parents first brought a microwave into our house... I had a friend that slept over that night and I think we played Super Mario Brothers on the original Nintendo... my parents thought it would be fun to make breakfast that morning in the microwave... to say it wasn't edible is an understatement...

Back to my food... what's the difference between the microwave and oven??? I felt one zaps the food and heats it up quicker, but the other takes longer but tastes better... especially the roll in the microwaves comes out, well you know...

This is the difference between a logical, healthy exercise program and a crazy, non-lasting diet... we all know those diets (you fill in the blank) where someone loses 30 lbs in 2 weeks and gains it back almost as quickly... I am not a doctor, I am not a dietician... I am not even a certified trainer... I am just a regular person that found a fun way for myself and others to exercise and as a result of that, people report amazing benefits of increased energy, concentration, as well clothes fitting better and yes even weight loss...

I voted for the oven, because even after a long fast, I don't mind waiting patiently for food if it will taste better... I vote for the same with exercise... THERE IS NO SHORTCUT TO LONG-TERM FITNESS GOALS... take your time.. go slow... pray for success.. results will G-d Willing come.. but do it smart... consult your doctor...

Thank you and many blessings,

Moshe
