Jump Into Shape started with 10 guys jumping rope in a synagogue social hall. Baruch HaShem it has evolved to include women, members from all over the world and much more than just jumping rope with weights, pilates, yoga, strength, condition, etc.
However, the core (no fitness pun intended) of Jump Into Shape is 1 thing - personal connection, accountability, and guidance.
In this text, a new member of us is ready to do 2 classes on his first day after not exercising for years. I talked him out of it for the reasons above. You have to take it slow with exercise and realize nothing happens overnight.
I checked on him today and he was sore from doing just the one class. He liked my suggestion to do a stretch class today.
I am not sure if there is anything in life that is valuable that doesn’t take hard work, prayer and patience.
